Yesterday I did the "Tourist" thing and caught one of the many red double decker buses doing the rounds of Hamburg. This was crossing the bridge between the Inner and the Outer Alster, which I had always thought were two lakes, but in fact now I know, the Guide told us so, that this is really the Alster River which was dammed to provide the water for a mill, way back when!
Great picture of the Town Hall, which is a wonderful building, hope to do an inside tour sometime, as Sanni works there.
