the day we went to - Blankenese! Blankenese lies directly on the Elbe and is a very quaint little town, with lots of steps!!! The houses are built very close to one another and were mainly for retired Captains and Pilots when they were first built. Now I would imagine it is quite a sought after area. We walked down to the beach but took the 'Mountain goat' bus back UP to the station! The weather was the best we have had, real teeshirt weather!
