The main imposing entrance to this open air dance hall\courtyard is the Crown Gate, the fourth photo) unfortunately not in the centre as the area to its right was draped in blue plastic, obviously having work done on it. The whole place was surrounded by beautiful buildings containing various Art Galleries and an Exhibition of the World Famous Meissen Pottery.
Most of this complex was built under Augustus the Strong from 1710 to 1732 and has had extensive restoration work done on it, some of which is ongoing. Altogether a delightful area to visit.
