Hamburgs War Dead.

 

 

This was a very sad place, there were so many dead that all they could do was to put them into mass graves from the areas in which they were found. This is just one of the four avenues which goes to make up a huge cross, with the name of the area on the beams laid down the middle. Some families have added name plates around the edges. In the centre of the Cross is a stone carved depiction of Claron, the Ferry Man taking people across the Styx River.
