Because people know I like a challenge I do tend to get inundated with unwanted fruit at this time of the year. From the lemons(yes they do have a bit of sooty mould but that comes off with a scrub)I have made some refreshing lemonade, from the crabapples I intend to make some jelly, even though it is a bit of a pfaff having to strain it through a muslin bag overnight, and to the pears I will add a spiced vinegar, I did this a couple of years ago and Karlo was the only one who really liked them so he recently had my last jar from 2009. These spiced pears are supposed to go nicely with cold meat, but Karlo, being a vegetarian, has them with his muesli!
