They look like bottle brushes ... love the ladybird on the top right hand side :-)
Yes Linda, they are Bottlebrushes. And you obviously doubleclicked in order to see the ladybird, quite unintentional! You have got good eyes. Thanks for the comments, it is good to know that someone is looking!
and that vase they are in, believe it or not, was given to me by June and Derek for my birthday many many years ago, and it has survived.
Back to the bottlebrushes, they are particularly lovely because although they look yellow, the whispy bits are dark red but you only see that if you look closeup. You obviously have bottlebrushes out your way!
