Trams, Trains and Trolly Buses!
We spent an interesting couple of hours yesterday at the Transport Museum, first time we had been there, found it very interesting if a little small.
There was a very high double decker which, by todays standards, looked extremely dangerous, the stairs were steep, the sides were low, made you wonder how many people had toppled over the side!! Then we had a 'very exciting' ride on a train, all of half a kilometer, there and back, but the seats were extremely comfortable.
There was a weird Black Wolseley which I thought was a car, until Ken pointed out that it ran on a railtrack so had no tyres. Apparently this was for the Hoi Poloi (however you spell that) when there was anything special going on.
The great big Steam Engines all looked very comfortable in their sheds, some were from the West Coast, from a bygone era, very nostalgic for Railway Buffs
I think there is something to be said for 'small' museums, not so much for you to take in all in one go, so you appreciate it a bit more. I suppose it is more interesting for males than females, but that it is sexist remark Hazel!!

It appears that there is still more to Hobart than I thought! So quite a few things to look forward to during my next visit - whenever that will be!
Hi Heidi, so you are still tuning in from time to time. Yes there are a few more surprises up my sleeve.
