When we got to Forcett we began to see the complete devastation, on each side of the road and far up into the bush, it was all brown. It must have been very frightening when it was all happening.
Even though we had seen pictures in the newspapers, taking our own photos really brought it all home to us.

What a sad sight, I can understand that it is more frightening when you see it with your own eyes, not only on TV
