and I hope it will grow right up to the sky!!
It is coming on, now apparently I have to go and do a bit of hanky panky, the male flowers are at the top, and the female flowers are the silky bits now appearing round the forming corns, so you give the males a bit of a shake up (I will love doing this) and that helps the corns to fill out a bit, sounds familiar!!
You may think that this all sounds a bit corney (no pun intended!)

The things I learn from your blog! Does the corn grow in your own or the communal garden?
This corn is in our own little garden IN the Community Garden. You can grow what you like and everyone plants different things. Mine seems to be taking a long time to ripen, the silky tassels have to start dying down, as they are now (not when this photo was taken) but although the cobs have swollen in size they still look a bit unripe to me, but the trouble is, you have to waste one to have a real look!!
