This Mill is up at Oatlands, on the Midland Hightway about 100 km from Hobart. It has recently been restored and is now a fully working mill, grinding the wheat and attracting the tourists! We went up with my Photography Group but were rather disappointed that we could not take our cameras into the Mill,safety precautions and all that. However it was a lovely day and I was well pleased with my picture postcard photo.
Oatlands is a sleepy little town, and guess what? The stork still brings the babies!
They are proud of their mill, and even incorporate it in the street signs, which is a nice touch.
