German cooking skills being brushed up!!




My Kartoffelkloese (potato dumplings) turned out alright, but what a palava, don't know that I will be doing them too often, too fiddly!! I cooked them, as described, in water till they floated to the surface (couple of minutes) then I put them on top of the Beef Carbonnade that I had slow cooked for Tim and Co. They did report that they enjoyed the dinner, but no special mention of my dumplings, oh well, back to mashed potatoes in future.

I don't bother with Kartoffelkloesse - the new potatoes are so much nicer
