And nair the twain shall meet!

Got 16 PROBUS members up to the Croquet Club on Sunday morning.   A new challenge for most of them but we had a hit and giggle with morning tea thrown in.   Good fun, trying to get a few Active Retiree photos for the National Probus magazine.

Big Brother is watching you!

Can't even go to the loo in comfort now, have to have eyes at the back of your head.

Haven't been around much lately.

I told you about the flood we had, we'll still waiting for new vinyl to be laid in bathroom, loo and laundry, then all will be back to normal.
Things ain't been going too well with us lately, one way and another!
We had arranged to meet an English friend of Kens from Paynes Poppets in Burnie as he and his wife were on a round the world cruise and coming to Burnie just for the day, like cruise ships do!   Unfortunately Hazel got the dates all wrong, arranged accommodation for two nights in a lovely B&B at Wynyard but for four days later than they were in Burnie!   On the day they artived they phoned from where we had agreed to meet, bus alas we were 400 km away in Hobart.   I was so cross with myself, everyone else was so disappointed, but we decided to go up anyway, we needed a break, and we had a pleasant time.

How's this for a "catch up"?

A note in our letterbox
And then a reunion, short but sweet.

Talk about hardy Australians, they are 'on the road round Tassie with just swags, apparently they are all enclosed these days, and fully waterproof so it doesn't even matter if it rains in the night, you won't get wet.   You can even get 'double' swags.   This couple live in Western Australia, South of Perth and we met them when we were travelling in the Northern Territory.   Up until we moved we exchanged  Christmas cards and we always said if they came to Tassie we must catch up, but never really expected they would.   Thank goodness our buyers at 104 gave them our new address.
Now it's got me keen to go back to that corner of WA that we missed, Esperance, according to John and Jan that's the 'best bit!' but I guess we think we live in the best bit too!
