nd I thought Tassie would be spared of this American custom. It has also become quite a big event in Germany, and I was glad to be out of Hamburg to avoid answering my door bell (being on the ground floor!!!) on the night as I was in Berlin, and kids don`t attempt to ring more than groundfloor bells. But I'm pleased you had a good time
