The Hunt -in Danish -Jagten

Wonderful film about a very emotive subject, Child Abuse, and how so many people can get it so wrong. Well directed by Thomas Vinterberg and starring Mads Mikkelberg. If you get the chance you should not miss this film, but be warned, it is not an entertaining film but it certainly gets you talking!

A walk on the mountain.

Yesterday dawned sunny and beautiful so eight intrepid walkers set off from Ferntree to Silver Falls. We even had an official photographer on board so I didn't have to take all the photos. Am thinking of renaming us The Probus Posers, hope they never get fed up of me saying "now all get together, I want to take a picture" but at least I will keep in with our Newsletter Editor, who is always looking for photos!

Once a Pom, always a Pom!

Been on the lookout for some time for a blue and white milk jug. Didn't particularly want Willow Pattern, but as is usual here, it was Hobsons Choice. Couldn't believe my eyes when I turned it over and it wasn't Made in China, so I had to have it. Still a little smaller than I would have liked but I am not complaining, just look at that Union Jack AND the name -Churchill!

Autumn is here

The leaves are changing colour and dropping, thank heaven for deciduous trees, gum trees are OK but in this respect they are boring.

Thats not very nice!

I am sitting up in bed, it is just gone 4am, it is Mothers Day today so I can do just what I want to!
Have been having a great time surfing Quilt sites, so much so that my hand has gone to sleep. Ken just muttered that he wished the rest of me would follow suite (or is it sute - no that does not look a bit right, hang on, I'll google it!)

Ok checked it out and it's suit! Ain't google marvellous!

I just cannot say No when anyone offers me fruit, and last week I expressed an interest in a friend's Crab Apple tree. Consequently the weekend found me turning one into the other! The resulting colour of the Jelly was very pleasing and now the store cupboard contains a few more jars to enjoy or be given away.
