She is back, with Joey

Our wallaby is back, but we are a bit worried about her, she is not well and we have been on to Parks and Wildlife and they will send someone to check her out, but when?  I have sent these photos and the videos and they are not worried about Joey but mum could be suffering from toxoplasmosis.

Will keep you posted.

Our Bromeliad is blooming

Unfortunately the flowers only last a day then they die and another one comes.

Eggs is Eggs

How about this lot for a colourful dozen?

The chocolate coloured ones come from a French breed called Maron
The funny thing is, they all taste the same, like eggs!

New Years Eve

the yachts and the backdrop of Mount Wellington (which has now been renamed Kunanyi)

Random shots.

You know the old saying "Give them enough rope......"

Someone has a sense of humour!

Just wonder if it does the trick.

Sydney to Hobart

Shirley and I went down early on New Years Eve (early being 7.30 am) and they were all busy setting up for the evenings revelries.  that is Mawson with his husky at ANTARCTICA.

Female Irish Convicts arriving in Hobart.

1300 Convict women were transported to Van Diemen's Land between 1803 and 1853, bringing with them 2,000 children.  This is where they disembarked, here on Hunter Island, now Salamanca.  these sculptures have just been commissioned and put in place for all to see.

Christmas cake

First  it was German Stollen then came the Italian Panettone, not an English Fruit cake in sight.

The Tree

Once a year out it comes, getting a bit big for me now but there is usually some brawn around   This time it was Tim's turn to do the honours.
