Ten days in New Zealand

I have come to New Zealand with friend and neighbour Shirley.   At the mement we are with her daughter in Auckland but we pick up a hire car later and tomorrow we will drive to the Coromandel Peninsula to do a spot of walking.
Yesterday we went to church, a lovely little English style church where they were blessing the 108 wool blankets to be sent to the Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia.

Back home

For some reason I can't give my blogs titles, this one should be headed Bay of Fires.   The weather was not the best but it did mean the waves were mighty and we had the place to ourselves.

We are up at St Helens for a couple of days with friends Jos and Daphne.

On our way up we stopped off at Devil's Corner Vineyard for a look at the fantastic view and to suss out the architectural award winning Viewing Platform.   Bit different from all the viewing platforms we have seen so far.

 Tomorrow we will go to The Bay of Fires.
