Au Revoir George

We finally got to see the house that George has been working on over the last few months, it's a huge house for two people, on ten acres and two storey.   It is mostly timber with the bottom half being steel, like MONA if you remember how that looked from the outside.    It has decks all around and will fit neatly into the sloping ground after quite a bit of landscaping.
The Huon Pine bathtub George just about finished the day before he left!   It is beautiful and would cost a fortune if you could buy one like it!

West Australian Jarrah decks all round the house

Tas Oak staircase up to the living area

George in the huge kitchen / living area with sliding doors everywhere which open right out.

The bathtub!

Clever, isn't he?

Ken's birthday

So, to celebrate (or commiserate) Heidi took us to her favourite Cheesery!   Wicked Cheese on the way to Richmond.    I had a Ploughmans Lunch and those two both opted for the Cheeseboard, boring!
They helped me out a bit though, as you will see, it was for a very hungry Ploughman!

This reminded me of the poem about the old man and the Apple Tree

And this one tells me that they have Hangovers here as well!

My begonia

This is doing so well, it is bursting out of the terrarium, don't think I could get it out so am going to try to do a leaf cutting.
