Twentynine years today!

And here is Mandie looking pensive and wondering what the next 29 years will have in store!

Yukk

We have had a fair amount of rain today (after our 30 degree day yesterday) so now we have an abundance of snails outside, though we now have one less, as I just squished one as I walked past!! Not this one though, he was rather a handsome snail, beautifully marked.

The Menagerie!

They have a one-eyed cat and a one eyed dog who like to accompany us during our slumbers, the cat on the bed and the dog keeping guard outside the bedroom door. Then I have to 'cat-proof' my breakfast while I make the coffee, maybe I am a bit fussy but I don't like sharing.

Incy Wincy Spider

This one we found in T&M's wardrobe, he had been there for several days apparently. Rather them than me!

Meet Humphrey!

Humphrey is a Rag Doll cat, one of three in the Newham household.

Silvereye

This little Silvereye knocked himself out by flying into the window so I had to stand guard (against the cats or the dog) until he had sufficiently recovered to fly away.

Bathing Belles

It was really hot today so for the fourth time in fourteen years I went into the sea at 'our' beach, Blackmans Bay. This was under the influence of Heidi (R) of course, don't know that I would have been fool enough under my own steam.

And this is how 104 looked by the time we had finished

Phew, will be glad to get up to Tim and Mandies for a rest. I rubbed and I scrubbed and I still managed to leave a few cobwebs in certain high places. But now for a rest,at least until this time next week when we take possession of No. 28 Scenic Drive, Redwood Village, Kingston.

January 19th, 2012

The day dawned, a beautiful day, I was up at 4.30, THEY were due at 8.30 but finally rolled up an hour later!!! At the first sight of the Container I thought, why don't they make half size ones for smaller moves?" But by the end of the three hours they had a job to squeeze the wheelbarrow in, and off it all went, to storage, for how long we know not, but knowing T&M it won't be long.

Moving Day

<

Sometimes wish I was not such a horder, this was the contents of the fridge when I came to empty it. I must add that most of it ended up in the bin when I read the 'use by' dates!

No time to cook!

This is lunch when you are moving, a pie in a brown paper bag (albeit an excellent pie from the Tassie Strudel Company) and Tomatoes and cucumber grown locally and with a lot more taste than the supermarket equivalent.

Please note: even the tomato is giving us the 'thumbs up' sign!

The new Ken & Hazel!

Here they are, the nice people who have bought our house, Michael and Debbie. He does the cooking, she works and they have a Bernease Mountain Dog and a German Shepherd/Kelpie Cross, so they are not to be messed around with!

Resident Deer

It's not everyone who has their own white deer around the place, although he/she was very timid and kept his/her distance. One evening we did catch two of them right outside our window but by the time I got to my camera all I got was a view of his/her rear disappearing into the bush!

The Beach House

Here are views from the back, the pond and the front of the house in its 30 acres and 3 minutes to the beach down our own little track.

The Beach House - inside.

About time I put up some photos from Christmas. It was a lovely house, and Heidi especially enjoyed the Dishwasher!! I have never thought much about having one, but after our time there I might be convinced. In fact I think there is one in the house we have bought - yes, we have made our decision and are just waiting to hear when completion date will be. We move out of here on the 20th i.e. less than 2 weeks time. You should see us, boxes everywhere!

The Blowhole at Bicheno

Spent an interesting time at the Blowhole, watching the kids enjoying themselves getting a soaking from the Blowhole. Hard to take a photo though, and I was not trusting taking my camera any nearer so Heidi took a few pics from afar!

???

There is a rude saying that real Tasmanians have two heads! The one I live with has three, hence the need for three Shavers, all powered up and ready to go!!!

Aint Photoshop wonderful??

after

and before! Note the damage on Ken's forehead, I can make it disappear! Wow, now I can make myself look really beautiful, starting with that mole on my cheek, there is no end to this fun that I am going to have.

The Queen and I on Christmas Day

I actually got to spend time with the Queen, first time for years, as Tim and Mandie are not Royalists and would only laugh if I wanted to hear what she had to say!!

She does well, for her age, wonder how Philip is going, as he spent time over Christmad in hospital with heart trouble.
